It's Over

The dangerously accurate nerds at Baseball Prospectus have predicted that the New York Mets will win the National League East with a record of 93-69 (click image to enlarge). Get the champagne ready!

At this point, the regular season is a formality. Arguably, they shouldn't even play the games. How about this: on opening day at Citi Field they raise a "2009 N.L. East Champs" banner.

Does this prediction take into account the Dodgers' eventual signing of Manny Ramirez? Currently they have Arizona taking the West. I'd say this is about as accurate as a seance, and clearly exhibits the famed "East Coast Bias."
